The Jungle Temple and a Sunset – By Leigh

Now its on to what turned out to be Anna’s favourite temple, in the jungle.  I think the pictures speak for themselves for this temple…

Next up was a date with the sunset at another temple.  The oldest one here apparently.  On the way up we purchased some beer, for 1 dollar a can of course.

Anna and I perched higher than the rest of the group to watch the sunset!:

I have never seen the sun rise and set on the same day before this. But what an amazing day to do it.

Time for dinner,  We split from the group and do our own thing for once as we have a free evening, this makes a nice change!  Zak and Renee are also going for a meal, Bouna and Julian are going out to paint the town red!

We settle on a nice western restaurant located on Pub Street in Siam Reap.  Quite safe and touristy, we are very comfortable here and order some ‘Snow White’ cocktails and pizza.

We’d seen this earlier and had planned to do it…

It’s called the Fish Doctor Foot Massage!!!

We bumped into Zak and Renee there also!

It’s a really weird sensation!  Kind of like having pins and needles or lots of little electric shocks.  The back tank was far more intense than the front, the fish in the back were hungry little suckers!  I could only keep my feet in for so long before the feeling became too intense and lifted out, then they all concentrated onto Anna!

The relaxing front tank:

Versus the intense back tank!:

We paid or 3 dollars each for the Fish Doctor Foot Massage and went for a wander around the night market.  Anna brought a really nice dress for $6.  After some hard bartering down from $12!

We grabbed a 2 dollar Tuk Tuk back to the hotel to bring this unforgettable day of a lifetime to an end.

My feet feel strangely clean after a long day spent walking around temples!  Poor fish…
