We are on the flight to Hanoi and so far our journey has been good. Thai airways have exceeded all expectation in service although I know Leigh has suffered with the seats and the entertainment. Unfortunately the plane to Hanoi has all the new screens but its too short a journey to use them.
The days leading up to going away have been stressful and it was a relief to finally get on the plane. Thank you Ben for the lift and I hope you got home before midnight!
It will be a huge relief to get to our hotel and finally have a wander round Vietnam. It seems like we have been travelling for days. Luckily I did get some sleep on the plane despite our worries about the pilot. On take off we got a live feed of what the pilot sees from the cockpit which was great until we were on the runway accelerating, but the pilot couldn’t keep the plane pointed in a straight line. The plane kept crossing the line up the middle of the runway and then crossing back to the other side again. Quite a scary moment. Thankfully his landing was better!!!
